“A FOOD DELIVERY INNOVATION WE NEVER KNEW WE NEEDED…"

We all know the feeling of being angry and irritated due to an empty stomach. Though ‘hangryness’ emerged as a pop-culture term, "being hangry" is real. Researchers have linked feelings of irritability and anger to low levels of blood sugar and the hormones released as a result. Those emotions can be found in people’s face expressions. So when promoting snack brand Graze’s new partnership with food delivery service Gorillas, we came up with a tasty solution.

TURN HANGRY INTO HAPPY

The Hangry Scanner turned hangryness into happiness. It scanned the user’s face to detect hangryness. Looking for visible signs of anger, rage and frustration. Based on these hangryness levels it served a discounted or completely free snackbox. Delivered within 10 minutes by food delivery service Gorillas.

We launched our hangry scanner with a series of social instruction videos and through partnerships with some of the biggest (food) influencers in the Netherlands. Our hangry scanner quickly became an internet hype. Selling Gorillas out of all their graze snack boxes within the week of our launch.
